« Back to Business Mixer Vietnam 2024

This event took place on 27-28 April, 2023 in Seoul.
Report from the event

The Republic of Korea is one of the countries with a trade volume of over USD 1 trillion, and is the 5th largest exporter in the world. Currently, it ranks tenth in the list of world’s economic superpowers and fourth in Asia in 2022. For years, the Korean economy has been one of the most dynamically developing economies in the Far East.

Nearly 550 Korean-invested companies operate in Poland, which makes the Republic of Korea one of the main foreign investors in our country (it is the second, after the USA, largest investor from outside Europe). At the end of 2020, the value of all investments from South Korea in Poland amounted to EUR 3.06 billion.

In recent years, we have been observing great interest in the Polish market among Korean companies, related to the location of further branches of Korean companies in our country. We want the conference to be a platform for building good business relations, strengthening the existing ones and emphasising the role of Poland as an attractive business partner, explains Management Board of the Port of Gdańsk Authority.

Initiatives such as Business Mixer are valuable as they provide a platform for establishing business relations between Polish and Korean companies and showing Poland’ investment potential. The Port of Gdańsk has invited Polish companies from the energy, food, logistics, design, chemical and automotive industries to participate in the event. The conference includes panel discussions, during which speakers can present their vision of building alternative links between Europe and Asia, using Poland and Korea as logistics hubs, as well as the benefits associated with locating investments in Poland.
